A man who lost his child due to murder takes retribution to the next level. This high octane suspense film takes betrayal and deception in a painfully obvious manner, giving the audience a 360 degree overview of what is happening. A carefully planned out strike of terror, hunk actor Gerard Butler was able to sneak in to a prison. With access to underground networks and high powered devices of terror, Jamie Foxx takes deception and betrayal to a whole different level.

Roman holiday

In a different stroke of themes, the classic film Roman holiday is all about the story of a princess who wanted to be a regular girl who meets a man who was actually a journalist. Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck definitely took Romantic comedy to a whole new level. This film also led to Hepburn’s crucial status as an award winning actress with an Academy Award for outstanding female performance. Who said betrayal and deception had to be scary?

Fatal Attraction

Speaking of scary, fatal attraction, starred by Glenn Close and Michael Douglas is a quintessential Hollywood thriller/suspense/horror movie. This is a story that centers around a man who had a weekend affair with a woman and was never able to get over him. The film captures deception and betrayal to an almost real level, where you can feel the pressure surrounding the man, the guilt, the fear and the insanity that the woman is bringing to his life. It is a controversial film but it was nevertheless a classic film of betrayal, deception and the realities of infidelity.

The more modern take on betrayal and deception was in the film, The Social Network, portraying what went through the creation of the most popular social networking site, Face book. You can say it is true or false, but sometimes, really, for the sake of power and prestige, people resort to deceit and betrayal to get the lion’s share.
